The Position

We are seeking an Estimator to join our team, responsible for preparing quotations and tender submissions for Perimeter Security, Bicycle Parking, Vehicle Access Control, High Security and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) projects.

Projects range from commercial developments to local, state and federal government infrastructure works, with submissions made to major building companies, contractors and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing plans, specifications and tender documentation.

• Performing take-offs and extracting product quantities from drawings.

• Preparing cost estimates, bills of materials (BOMs) and pricing submissions.

• Liaising with engineering, production and sales teams to ensure accurate project costing.

• Obtaining and evaluating pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Preparing and submitting quotations and tender responses.

• Maintaining accurate estimating records and supporting continuous improvement of estimating processes.

About You

The successful applicant will ideally possess:

• 3-5 years' estimating experience, or a strong understanding of estimating principles.

• Experience within the building, construction, metal fabrication, manufacturing or engineering industries.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
