However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.

About the Role

This is an exciting 12-months fixed-term maternity leave cover opportunity based in Richmond, leading a high-performing team within RFDS Victoria's Fundraising & Partnerships directorate. As Fundraising Manager - Growth & Innovation, you will drive sustainable revenue through strategic acquisition and integrated fundraising campaigns, while identifying new opportunities to expand supporter engagement and long-term value. You will play a critical role in shaping fundraising performance through a data-led, innovative and supporter-centric approach.

Working collaboratively across fundraising, philanthropy, marketing, supporter experience and data teams, you will lead initiatives that expand supporter reach, unlock new fundraising opportunities and build a strong pipeline for future growth. Combining strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, you will oversee mass-market fundraising, digital campaigns and regular giving programs while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Lead the strategy and delivery of mass-market fundraising programs across campaigns, appeals, digital fundraising and regular giving to achieve revenue, ROI and supporter growth targets.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement through testing, optimisation and the development of new fundraising products, audiences and growth opportunities.
• Develop and embed Gifts in Wills (GiW) growth strategies across fundraising campaigns, supporter journeys and communications.
• Partner with Philanthropy, Supporter Experience and Data teams to strengthen supporter engagement and build a sustainable legacy giving pipeline.
• Champion exceptional supporter experiences by delivering personalised, supporter-centric fundraising and supporting stewardship initiatives.
• Utilise supporter data, insights and segmentation to inform strategy, improve campaign performance and enhance forecasting and reporting.
• Lead, coach and develop a small fundraising team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation and results.
• Collaborate across Fundraising, Marketing, Events and Partnerships teams to deliver integrated campaigns and achieve organisational growth objectives.

To be successful, you will need:

• Demonstrated experience leading mass-market fundraising programs, including but not limited to cash appeals, regular giving and legacy (GiW) campaigning.
• A strong track record of driving revenue growth through data-led decision making, innovation and campaign optimisation.
• Proven ability to identify, test and scale new fundraising products, audiences and engagement strategies.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting and measuring ROI.
• Experience using CRM systems and supporter data to inform strategy and enhance fundraising performance.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across fundraising, marketing, philanthropy and data teams.
• Previous people leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop and inspire high-performing teams.
• Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, fundraising or a related discipline, with experience in a not-for-profit fundraising environment highly regarded.
• Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
