Reservations manager / housekeeping & quality co-ordinator

Beachscape Holiday Rentals is looking for 1 to 2 new team members to ensure we keep up with our growth while ensuring work life balance. The role is a combination of reservations management plus housekeeping rostering & optimisation as well as quality control. It is a combination of computer desk work with physical property visits.

As Reservations Manager you ensure properties are listed correctly on all bookings platforms (such as Airbnb, Booking.com), ensure guests are booked in and a housekeeper is assigned, and attend to guest and owner questions.

The quality co-ordinator part of the role involves ensuring our properties are in top-notch condition and guest ready. I.e. properties are cleaned on time and to standard, necessary repairs are performed and the properties are compliant with legislative requirements such as smoke alarms.  Holiday guests are booked in and their needs are attended to.

Beachscape holiday rentals is the local market leader in luxury rentals with 75+ holiday and short-term rental properties under management along the greater Port Macquarie coastline, from Port Macquarie, Lake Cathie, Bonny Hills, North Haven, Laurieton to Dunbogan and Camden Head. 

Operational tasks include but are not limited to:

• Manage reservations

• Ensure all listings and systems are up to date

• Manage bond process including claims

• Roster cleaners and laundry

• Coordinate and manage trades / third parties, keep owners informed

• Coordinate regulatory compliance (smoke alarms, pest sprays)

• Order and restock supplies

• Perform quality checks at the properties

• Perform impromptu trouble shooting

• Permanent part-time or full-time position, includes weekend work; rotating weekend on-call roster every 4-5 weeks.  Can move into a full-time role. Ideal work days for full-time are Sunday to Thursday.

• Small, friendly, dedicated team. The holiday team consists of 5 people; in total 10 office staff (within the full real-estate team), with sub-contractors 20 people.

The ideal candidate has:

• A positive attitude, energy and drive

• Ability to work independently as well as in teams

• Diligence and eye for detail

• Ability to prioritise tasks and trouble shoot

• Resilience to operate and thrive in a dynamic environment

• A reliable car and valid drivers licence

• Strong proficiency in IT systems, i.e. property management software programs, cleaning software apps, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneDrive, etc), Dropbox. Social media and video editing or other creative and/or technical skills are a bonus.

• Local knowledge of Port Macquarie and Camden Haven is a plus

• Real-estate license or certificate of registration is a plus
