Field Service Technician - UPS

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Brisbane, to install, test, commission, service, and repair UPS products and systems for critical power applications to specifications and customer requirements.

We are looking for experienced technicians with UPS experience and exposure to the dynamic data centre industry. The successful candidate will be a brand ambassador with a passion to delivery great customer service and experience.

Key Duties

Install, test, commission, service and repair PQ products and systems (AC and DC products), ensuring equipment conforms with company operating specifications and customer requirements.Performing your duties with a high regard and awareness for safe working practices and compliance to EHS protocolsInstall and maintain critical power equipment and perform in-house and on-site repairs as required in accordance with service and maintenance agreementsLiaise with Project Management to carry out site inspection, commissioning, and testing of critical power systems including, creating, modifying of all documentation and reports for submissionProvide technical assistance/support and training to Technical Staff and Service Contractors and customers where requiredRespond to requests for emergency repairs and provide rostered standby support 24/7Perform FAT/SAT testing on units and prepare detailed reports on tests carried outEnsure on time submission of reports

Qualifications

Grade Electrician3 years’ experience in a technical role servicing electrical or power electronics equipmentDiploma or degree qualification in electrical, electronics, mechatronics or Industrial AutomationIntermediate skills in MS Office and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP)Exceptional communication skillsProven experience writing reportsAbility to organize, prioritize, plan, follow up and work autonomously
