TerryWhite Chemmart Gilles Plains is an owner‑managed community pharmacy, with visible leadership presence and direct support for the whole team! We are conveniently located approximately 10–15 minutes north-east of the Adelaide CBD, at Gilles Plains Shopping Centre, offering a convenient location for our staff. We are a Terry White Chemmart pharmacy proudly focused on excellent customer service, healthcare outcomes and delivering professional pharmacy services.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, reliable, enthusiastic and team‑oriented Pharmacy Assistant with flexible hours available to suit the right applicant. You will be supported with great development opportunities, including training and mentoring from our supportive Dedicated to Care team. Our Pharmacy Assistants are often the first point of contact for customers and play a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional pharmacy experience.

Flexible Working Arrangements

We are committed to offering flexibility and are open to a range of working arrangements, including:

• Near full-time hours of up to approximately 75 hours per fortnight for applicants seeking substantial, ongoing employment; or
• Part-time hours for applicants seeking a schedule that better suits their personal commitments and lifestyle.

The available hours may be structured as one near full-time position or multiple part-time positions, depending on the availability, experience, and preferences of the successful applicant(s).

We welcome applications from candidates seeking either a long-term near full-time opportunity or a flexible part-time role

In this role, you will:

• Deliver exceptional customer service and support retail sales.
• Assist customers with over‑the‑counter medicines where appropriate.
• Maintain a high standard of merchandising and store presentation.
• Support day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, including housekeeping and stock awareness.
• Use pharmacy systems and computers confidently.
• Manage multiple tasks in a busy and varied environment.
• Exercise excellent communication skills to assist customers and appropriately manage and filter enquiries.

You will:

• Previous community pharmacy experience is strongly preferred - however, we would consider an exceptional candidate from a customer service or retail background who demonstrates the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Previous retail experience and a genuine interest in healthcare.
• Have an eagerness to learn and develop your skills.
• Have strong attention to detail and a positive, team‑focused mindset.
• Enjoy helping customers and supporting your colleagues.
• Be willing to jump in and support the team picking up extra shifts or covering leave as required.
