Salary range: $100,630.65 - $107,739.88 (inclusive of all allowances/loadings), plus super

Role purpose

Provide support and a therapeutic response to women and their families in community affected by domestic, family, and sexual violence to:

• improve safety and identify options to protect future safety and recovery of women in community
• address or decrease the effects of trauma and improve emotional and physical health
• provide holistic support to family members and children impacted by family violence
• build psychosocial capacity in individuals experiencing or at risk of family and domestic violence
• support participants to connect with others, focus on their strengths, maintain a healthy lifestyle and engage in healthy relationships

What you’ll do, including but not limited to

• Participate in case management and the development of safety plans for women and their families experiencing or at risk of domestic family and sexual violence (DFSV)
• Develop and facilitate education and awareness raising programs that target early intervention and protective behaviours to reduce the incidence of DFSV with a focus on delivering holistic support and early intervention programs for pre-adolescent community members
• Promote the activities of One Tree through liaison and networking with local councils, government servicers, referral agencies, community groups and other organisations as necessary
• Establish, foster, and maintain strong working links with relevant Aboriginal and non -Aboriginal service providers to develop and maintain effective services to families at risk of DFSV
• Maintain professional documentation and administrative systems according to One Tree policies
• Contribute to a workplace culture that supports good practice, teamwork, learning, One Tree’s Code of Ethics, and quality service

Requirements & Qualifications

• Be eligible to work in Australia and willing to relocate to Gunbalanya
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Northern Land Council Work Permit
• Relevant degree or diploma in social work, community services or related
