A rare opportunity is available for a Lawyer to join our collaborative and highly regarded Agriculture team based in Toowoomba.

As part of our team, you will:

Under the guidance of senior lawyers, you will:

• advise clients on agribusiness, property, succession planning and commercial matters;
• draft and negotiate land access, mining, renewable energy and infrastructure agreements;
• assist clients to navigate complex property, business and compensation disputes;
• participate in client meetings, commercial negotiations, mediations and dispute resolution processes;
• work with experts, consultants and counsel on significant matters;
• develop trusted adviser relationships with agricultural clients; and
• build technical expertise across one of the firm’s core growth areas.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a lawyer who is commercially minded, proactive and passionate about working with rural and regional clients. You will have:

• a Law degree and post-admission legal experience (essential);
• a current Queensland Practising Certificate (or ability to obtain one);
• experience or interest in property, agribusiness, commercial or energy and resources matters (desirable);
• an interest in building relationships with farmers, graziers and agricultural businesses;
• strong communication and client relationship skills;
• excellent organisational, time management and research skills; and
• a genuine desire to develop your career in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Exposure to rural property, land access, business structures or succession planning will be highly regarded, but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are equally important.
