An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Stomal Therapist to join the Adult Stomal Therapy team at Dandenong Hospital. In this senior nursing role, you will provide expert clinical care, consultancy, education, and leadership to patients, carers and healthcare professionals across the continuum of care.

Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, you will deliver evidence-based stomal therapy and wound management services, support clinical excellence, and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will:

• Provide specialist assessment, consultation and management for patients requiring stomal therapy and wound care.
• Deliver education and support to patients, carers and clinical staff.
• Lead and promote contemporary evidence-based practice.
• Contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures and patient education resources.
• Participate in audits, data collection, incident review and quality improvement activities.
• Support research projects, product evaluations and service innovation.
• Act as a key resource and advocate for specialised stomal therapy and wound care services across the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Recent experience in stomal therapy nursing.
• Certificate in Stomal Therapy.
• Strong clinical teaching and education skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centred consultancy services and work autonomously.
• Experience contributing to clinical service planning and quality initiatives.
• The ability to travel across sites when required. 

• Qualifications in Wound Care Management and/or Health Education.
• Membership of a relevant professional association.
