Are you an excellent multi-tasker and a skilled nurse looking for your next career move? Peninsula Private Hospital is looking for a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Consultant to work in our facility on a permanent part time, 0.6 FTE capacity.
About Us
Peninsula Private is a 65-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 6 operating theatres and a new high dependency unit to open in the near future, located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
The Opportunity
The position is responsible for providing support in Infection Control programs to compliment the strategic direction, daily operational processes and the continual achievement of accreditation for the hospital.
Reporting to the Quality, Risk and Infection Control Manager you will assist in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Infection Control procedures, practices and standards. You will work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team and participate in relevant committees to collect and collate data, key performance indicators (KPIs) and infection control clinical indicators. You will have sound knowledge of National Quality Safety Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) and ACHS Accreditation System and experience in supporting clinical teams to meet required standards. The position will also conduct clinical audits for staff health, monitoring and surveillance as required.
You will undertake direct patient care as required providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team. You will be a confident practitioner able to provide education and training to staff on relevant topics
