Road Train Operator - 2/1 Roster - Goldfields

With the award of a new project and expansion at another mine site, we are seeking to hire experienced Road Train Operators (Self Loading) to join our team at 2 sites in the Goldfields.

On a 2/1 roster, we will pay 1 flight (direct where available) from Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Hobart, Launceston, Burnie & Darwin, flying with Virgin or Qantas.

We now offer 1 flight (direct where available) on a 2/1 roster to various airports across Southeast Asia (e.g. Bali/Thailand/Philippines & Vietnam) Christchurch & Auckland.

Job description:

• Operating manual 18 Speed RR - Kenworth T909, C509 & C510 Prime Movers

• Self-loading with Komatsu WA600-6 and WA500-7 Loaders (prior self loading skills are essential)

• Tipping on the Run at the ROM (experience necessary)

Salary package:

• $145,600 annual salary plus 12% superannuation (on all hours)
• Consistent weekly pay – when you are on site and at home on R & R
• Full pay (12 hours) for stand down periods
• Permanent opportunity with ongoing work/projects
• Immediate start
• 2/1 roster (one flight paid)
• Accrue frequent Flyer points across designated airlines

To be considered for this role, successful applicants will possess/provide:

• 18 months+ in a similar role and happy to work on and/or off road

• MC Drivers Licence (unrestricted)

• 18 Speed Road Ranger manual gearbox experience essential

• Ability to self load with a WA 500/WA600 or similar experience essential

• Safety focused

• Great communicator who enjoys working solo and as part of a happy team

• Respect & Teamwork as a top priority and care for your prime mover & trailers

• Mechanically minded and ability to change your own tyres

• National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one (less than 6 months old)

• Current and contactable references

• Must hold Australian working rights
