About the Home
The charming Bupa Bateau Bay is a modern care home set in a coastal suburb of the Central Coast, NSW. It is close to the local community with neighbouring shops, parks, church, schools and transport links nearby. It consists of 101 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.
The Benefits
The opportunity
As our Lifestyle & Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of a vibrant, resident-led lifestyle program that supports connection, purpose and wellbeing. You’ll create meaningful engagement across the home; 1:1 and in social groups tailored to residents’ interests, routines and goals.
You’ll lead and support the Wellbeing Carer team, whose work includes both meaningful engagement and hospitality-style support that contributes to a welcoming dining and daily living experience. You’ll coordinate volunteers and community connections and help set the rhythm of each day - from activity spaces and special events to outings, newsletters and family communications.
You’ll also complete lifestyle assessments and ensure required documentation is accurate and up to date. This role is a mix of strategic planning and hands-on support. You’ll set direction for the lifestyle program, mentor and guide the Wellbeing Carer team, and step in to lead bigger events and activities that require your expertise. Day to day, you’ll also spend time with residents, supporting meaningful engagement and embedding evidence-based approaches (including Montessori-style engagement within the Dementia Support Community).
