About the role
About Us
Shine People Solutions is a proudly Aboriginal-owned and operated consultancy committed to connecting exceptional talent with purpose-driven organisations. We assist companies to expand their Indigenous workforce and recruit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across all levels of a business. We are currently seeking interest from candidates who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander as well as non-Indigenous people for this role.
About Our Client
Our client is one of Queensland's leading health and community organisations, committed to improving outcomes for people affected by cancer. Through advocacy, education, support services and community engagement, they work to create a more equitable and accessible health system while ensuring Queenslanders receive the support they need throughout their cancer journey.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Policy and Advocacy Advisor to help drive meaningful change across Queensland. This role will lead policy and advocacy initiatives that influence government, shape public policy discussions and amplify the voices of communities impacted by cancer.
This is an opportunity to work at both a strategic and operational level. You'll contribute to submissions, position papers and advocacy campaigns while building relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers and community representatives. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex issues into practical, persuasive recommendations that can drive real-world outcomes.
