About the Opportunity
Our School invites applications from an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Technologies to join our vibrant Technologies faculty. We welcome applications from teachers with experience and qualifications in Food Technology, Design and Technology and /or Textiles Technology, or a combination of these areas.
This role is permanent full time commencing in Term 1 2027.
Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Food Technology, Design and Technology and/or Textiles Technology across a range of stages, with Stage 6 experience highly regarded, but not essential.Create practical, hands-on learning experiences that encourage creativity, experimentation, inquiry and problem solving.Apply effective teaching strategies and contemporary pedagogical practices that maximise student engagement and achievement.Integrate digital technologies and industry-relevant skills to enrich student learning.Demonstrate a commitment to pastoral care and supporting the academic, social and emotional wellbeing of young women.
The Ideal CandidateHold relevant teaching qualifications and current NESA accreditation.Demonstrated experience teaching Food Technology, Design and Technology, Textiles Technology subjects.Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of students.Experience using contemporary technologies and innovative teaching practices to enhance learning outcomes.Be a positive, collaborative and proactive contributor to a successful faculty team. Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and active participation in the broader life of the School.
