Quality Technician - Wind Turbine Project
Site-Based | 12 month contract | South East Queensland
About The Role
As a Quality Technician, you will support quality assurance and quality control activities across wind turbine installation, commissioning, and servicing phases. You will play a key role in ensuring OEM standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements are met throughout construction and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct quality inspections on turbine components, towers, mechanical and electrical works, and installation activitiesSupport non-conformance reporting (NCR), corrective actions, and close-out documentationAssist with incoming goods inspections and verify compliance with technical and project requirementsMaintain accurate QA/QC records, ensuring documentation is complete and audit-readySupport document control processes, ensuring records are correctly stored, updated, and maintainedCollaborate with site supervisors, construction teams, subcontractors, and HSE personnel to maintain quality standardsParticipate in toolbox talks, quality briefings, inspections, and continuous improvement activitiesEnsure all work aligns with Australian standards, project specifications, and company procedures
About You
Experience in QA/QC, electrical or mechanical inspection, or a similar technician role (wind or heavy industry experience highly regarded)Previous experience as a Wind Turbine Service Technician is highly regardedStrong understanding of quality systems, defect reporting, and documentation controlAbility to interpret technical drawings, checklists, engineering specifications, and installation proceduresHigh attention to detail with strong organisational skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary site teamsFamiliarity with wind turbine installation or large-scale construction environments is an advantage
