The Role

We are looking for experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant for our Dalkeith Gardens Residential Aged Care Home in Traralgon, home to 114 residents.

• Provide expert clinical leadership and support to ensure high-quality, resident-centred care
• Lead the assessment, management, and review of residents with complex clinical needs
• Support and mentor Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Personal Care Workers in clinical best practice
• Monitor clinical indicators, identify improvement opportunities, and drive quality initiatives across the home
• Collaborate with residents, families, GPs, allied health professionals, and external providers to achieve positive health outcomes
• Assist with compliance, accreditation requirements, clinical governance activities, and incident management processes

About you

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Demonstrated experience in aged care, chronic disease management, dementia care, and complex clinical assessments
• Strong knowledge of aged care standards, clinical governance, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to provide clinical leadership, coaching, and support to multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyse clinical data, identify risks, and implement effective care and quality improvement strategies
• Postgraduate qualifications in gerontology, clinical nursing, leadership, or a related field (desirable)
• Experience supporting aged care accreditation and quality improvement programs (desirable)
