Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is a 187 bed acute Medical and advanced surgical hospital situated on the Pacific Highway at Gateshead, 15 kms south of the Newcastle CBD. 

We are seeking a proactive and organised Facilities Coordinator to join our team. In this key role, you will ensure the efficient and effective operation of our facilities, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for our patients, visitors, and team.

About the Role:

As a Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of our hospital premises. Your duties will include:

• Coordinating and managing all routine and preventative maintenance activities.
• Scheduling and supervising external contractors and service providers.
• Responding to and resolving facility-related issues and emergencies promptly.
• Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work, inspections, and equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Assisting with budget management for facilities and maintenance projects.
• Identifying opportunities for facility improvements and efficiencies.

About You:

You are an experienced professional with a strong background in facilities management or coordination. You possess excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. You are a strong communicator and can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors, colleagues, and management. A commitment to maintaining high standards and ensuring a safe environment is essential.
