Job Description

This varied role will suit someone who enjoys working with customers, has an interest in sales, and is happy to support the day-to-day operations of a busy branch.

You will work closely with our customers and branch team to provide exceptional service, while also supporting our warehouse and delivery functions.

A Typical Day Will Involve

Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to a wide range of electrical trades and commercial customersAssisting customers in the showroom, over the phone and via emailResponding to customer enquiries, preparing quotes and processing sales ordersBuilding strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities to recommend suitable products and solutionsSupporting the sales team with product availability, pricing, order updates and follow-upProcessing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficientlyReceiving, checking and booking in incoming stock and purchase ordersPicking and packing customer ordersLoading and unloading deliveries safelyMaintaining accurate inventory records and supporting stocktakesKeeping the showroom, warehouse and surrounding areas clean, safe and well organisedCompleting deliveries in a safe and courteous manner while complying with all road rulesContributing to our strong safety culture and following all workplace health and safety procedures

Qualifications

You may have previous experience in a customer service, internal sales, retail, trade counter, warehousing or storeperson role. Experience in electrical wholesale, hardware, building supplies or a related industry would be advantageous, but it is not essential.

A current driver’s licence and a clean driving recordA current forklift licence, or a willingness to obtain one — desirable
