SIW, Tasmania's largest distributor (a joint venture of Woolworths and Tasmanian Independent Retailers), is seeking reliable and motivated casual and permanent Storepersons to join our dynamic team.
The Opportunity: We need Storepersons for morning (5 AM start) and afternoon (1 PM start) shifts in our Ambient, Produce and Liquor (APL) and Temperature Control (TC) teams at our Western Junction facility (10 minutes from Launceston).
About the Position: This is a fast-paced, physical warehouse role ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy staying active at work. You’ll play a key role in accurately picking and preparing orders for delivery across Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities: - Utilise voice-picking technology to accurately pick and stack orders.
- Construct stable pallets and ensure loads are secured with shrink-wrap.
- Perform safe manual handling and lifting of cartons up to 20kg.
- Operate various warehouse machinery and equipment (full training provided).
- Maintain a clean, safe environment while following standard operating procedures.
- Uphold all safety standards, including the active reporting of hazards and incidents.
We're Looking For Candidates Who Are: - Safety-focused, reliable, and punctual.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg.
- Authorised to work in Australia.
- Available to work Monday to Friday as well as Saturdays on a rotational basis.
