About the role
Be at the heart of the action as you help deliver Melbourne City FC match days, events and fan activations, creating memorable experiences for thousands of supporters both on and off the pitch.
As the Matchday & Event Operations Lead, you will provide on the ground leadership by overseeing an allocated operational area, coordinating matchday staff and volunteers, and supporting the delivery of venue operations, activations, match operations and sports presentations.
What you'll be doing
This role is involved in multiple areas of matchday experience, including:
Event Operations
Lead and oversee an allocated operational area, including setup and packdown
Monitor operational timelines and resolve operational issues
Event Experience & Fan Engagement
Lead and oversee the delivery of club and commercial activations
Direct distribution of promotional items, giveaways and competition prizes
Support commercial partners and event stakeholders in the delivery of promotional initiatives
Match Operations
Lead designated back of house operational areas and adhere to competition timelines
Coordinate team call outs and player movements
Coordinate the operational delivery of sports presentations alongside the Club's appointed sports presentation provider
Monitor match operations and sports presentation timelines
What we're looking for
Previous experience in event operations, venue operations or a similar role
Previous experience in leading or coordinating staff (desirable but not essential)
Ability to remain calm, helpful and professional in a fast-paced environment
Physically capable of manual duties, including lifting and moving equipment
Reliable and punctual
Current Victorian Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid certificate (desirable but not essential)
