Meat Category Specialist

An opportunity exists for a Meat Category Specialist at our foodservice branch located in Truganina.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for the growth of sales to new and existing customers within the region and the development of long-term business relationships.

Duties:

• Maintain and grow the customer base whilst focusing on new business growth

• Achieve sales KPI’s and meet quarterly targets

• Develop new business opportunities to increase sales

• Create and maintain customer pricing and margins

• Identify, develop and manage new areas of growth

• Work co-operatively and competitively within a busy sales team environment

Key Skills and Experience:

• Exceptional negotiation and customer service skills

• Proven sales experience in managing meat customer accounts and growing new business

• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad customer base

• Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously and with a team

• Aptitude for working with computers, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems

• Previous experience working within the meat industry essential
