About the role
Cellar Door and Direct Sales Supervisor
Faber Vineyard is a family owned and operated vineyard, winery and cellar door in Perth’s Swan Valley. We are a close-knit team and everyone is very hands on and assists across all activities. We are committed to making exceptional wines and promoting these in a genuine, friendly, welcoming environment. We are highly engaged with our customers and are passionate about wine. Faber offers wine tastings, simple meals, tours and host regular wine club events at our Swan Valley cellar door. We promote direct sales via our website, wine club and loyalty programme.
This is an opportunity for an experienced sales and hospitality professional to be fully immersed in a boutique wine business. You will be involved in the daily running of our cellar door – setting up, managing supplies, developing print materials, creating an outstanding visitor experience, serving customers, record keeping. You will assist with planning and conducting our monthly wine club events. You will work with our website and social media and wine club software – maintaining wine club records, bookings, product information, processing orders and stock records. You will assist in food preparation and service – we offer simple boards at cellar door and hearty meals at our wine club functions. You will liaise with tour operators and other visitor groups. You will contribute to tastings and discussions with our winemakers regarding our wines. You will assist from time to time in vineyard and winery operations. You will be required to work at least one day per week on the weekend.
You will have:
· Excellent customer service skills
· Cellar door, hospitality and event experience
· Sales experience – preferably within the wine industry
· A genuine interest in food and wine
· Strong communication, selling, organisational, administrative and computer skills
· Residency and the right to work in Australia
