Rudimentary is looking for a full Head Chef to join our team.

Over its 12 years, Rudimentary has been featured on numerous publications such as (Broadsheet, Timeout, Urban List, , Channel 9, Channel 10, Qantas, etc) with accolades such as Best Breakfast in Melbourne, Best new cafe, Top 10 best breakfast, top 50 best breakfast.

We are continuously looking to push the boundaries and evolve breakfast in Melbourne and with your help, we will do this.

The successful candidate will:

• 3 to 5 years minimum in a professional kitchen

• Prior experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie

• Experience managing food and labor costs

• History of hiring, training, and leading kitchen staff

• Menu creation and recipe development

• Strong leadership under high-pressure conditions

• Knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety laws

• Communication with suppliers and front-of-house teams
