1300 Meteor Rentals is one of North Queensland’s largest privately owned and operated vehicle hire companies, proudly family-run for over 40 years. We’re on the lookout for a motivated Vehicle Pre-Sale Detailer to join our busy Townsville workshop team.

 About the Role

This is a hands-on, varied role working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. You’ll play a key part in getting our commercial vehicles ready for fleet entry and preparing them for sale.

Given the expansive range of tasks remuneration is dependent on experience. Whilst experience is ideal, we’re looking for team members with a passion for working on cars and 4x4’s and are happy to provide training for the right people.

Fleet Entry - Getting Vehicles Road Ready

•        Fitting accessories and applying company stickers

•        Tray assembly and fitment

•        Preparing vehicles to the 1300 Meteor standard ready for hire

 Fleet Disposal - Making Vehicles Shine

•        Full interior and exterior detailing

•        Buffing and polishing to a showroom finish

•        Chassis preparation and painting

•        Removal of accessories and de-fleeting tasks

 General Duties

•        Parts pick-up and vehicle drop-off/collection to suppliers

•        General vehicle rental detailing as required

•        Vehicle checks as per the 1300 Meteor underbody checklist

 What We’re Looking For

•        A genuine interest in cars and 4WDs - passion goes a long way!

•        Current Australian unrestricted driver’s licence (essential)

•        Forklift licence advantageous - if you don’t have one, we’ll help you get it!

•        Ability to work independently and take initiative

•        Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

•        Team player with great communication and a can-do attitude
