About the role:
Darwin Private Hospital is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Educator to join their established Peri-operative team.
About us:
Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licenced 122 bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Our world-class private hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote aboriginal communities and even offshore. We are co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital and partner in delivering specialised care to patients from across the top end of Australia.
Key responsibilities:
Provide hands-on clinical education, support and facilitation to graduate nursing students
Act as a clinical leader and mentor, fostering professional development and continuous learning within the nursing team
Promote and champion evidence-based nursing practice to ensure high-quality patient care outcomes
Support the implementation and dissemination of current best-practice knowledge and clinical standards
Monitor and drive staff compliance with mandatory annual training requirement and e-learning modules
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support ongoing clinical education initiatives
Participate in policy and procedure meetings, contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement activities
Attend and actively contribute to ward meetings and bi-monthly education meetings
Support a culture of safety, excellence and continuous improvement across the clinical environment

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope Darwin Private Hospital - Nurses and Midwives - Enterprise Agreement 2024 a salary of $64.27 per hour.
