Chef/Cook 2IC

About the role

We're seeking an experienced Chef/Cook 2IC to join the team at giannitto family hotels' in Gawler, SA. This full-time role is a great opportunity to work for a reputable hospitality group and help drive the kitchen operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations

2. Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes to the hotel's menu specifications

3. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times

4. Assist with menu planning, stock management and budgeting

5. Lead and mentor the kitchen team, providing training and support as needed

6. Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items

7. Ensure a positive and collaborative working environment in the kitchen

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef/Cook, preferably in a 2IC or senior role

2. Proven track record of delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service

3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

4. Excellent time management and organizational skills

5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

6. Strong leadership and team management skills

7. Passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes
