About the opportunity This is a hands-on financial modelling and analytics role for a technically sharp finance professional who wants to work at scale. We're partnering exclusively with a leading multi-site education organisation to appoint a Strategic Finance Business Analyst into their Group Finance FP&A team.
You'll own financial modelling, reporting, and analytics across 200+ sites. This isn't a traditional reporting role-you'll build dashboards, automate processes, interpret complex data sets, and translate them into decisions that matter. You'll work closely with IT on system improvements and be central to a major enterprise systems implementation on the horizon.If you're an analyst who can work confidently in Excel, Power BI and SQL, understands financial modelling fundamentals, and can explain scenarios to non-financial stakeholders - this is the role for you.

About the role
Reporting into Group Finance FP&A, you will be responsible for:Build, develop and maintain robust financial models supporting effective decision-making across schools and officesCreate and improve user-friendly dashboards and Power BI reporting to support stakeholder decision-makingAutomate key reporting processes across multiple sites, working with IT teams to streamline data inputs and outputsInterpret complex data sets to assess historical performance and forecast future financial outcomesSupport annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cyclesSupport the wider finance team with data analytics requirements

The ideal candidate thinks analytically, is technically proficient, and thrives working across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel-data analytics tools such as Power Query, Power BI, SQL or Tableau essentialStrong understanding of financial modelling fundamentals-data integrity, relationships and driversCPA or CA qualified (or actively working towards)Demonstrated FP&A or financial reporting experience, ideally across multi-site or multi-entity environmentsAbility to translate complex financial scenarios to non-financial stakeholders with clarity
