About the role
Join a team responsible for maintaining one of Perth's most unique and diverse property portfolios. This hands-on role offers variety every day, with no two days the same as you work across high-end residential, commercial, rural and specialty assets.
As the Leading Hand, you'll lead by example, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely and to the highest standard while supporting a small team and working closely with contractors. You'll thrive in a dynamic environment, be comfortable working independently or collaboratively, and take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.
This role is based in Perth Metro with occasional travel across WA.
What you will do
Coordinate works at multiple properties simultaneously.
Be responsible for a small team in a leading hand capacity.
Undertaking proactive and reactive maintenance work.
Ordering of materials
Drive a safety culture within the team through completion of safety briefings and reporting.
Undertake daily duties of a Maintenance Hand, while ensuring workplace standards and expectations are met.
Be a liaison between client, manager, and team members, ensuring smooth communication of tasks and requests.
Complete status reports of tasks, providing updates to the manager and client as needed.
Support event setups and client requests with furniture moves, art hanging and other duties as required
About you
Trade qualification preferred however not essential
Broad knowledge of building services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pools, carpentry)
Experience in a maintenance environment (hospitality etc)
Current Driver’s licence (manual)
Fit and able to complete the role
Able to plan, prioritise tasks and respond to competing demands
Capacity to work through sometimes stressful situations
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and contractors
