Director, Building Consultancy
Sydney | Full-Time
As Director, Building Consultancy, you will lead business development, client engagement and project delivery activities while growing Cushman & Wakefield's presence within your market. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering strategic advice across building condition, compliance, performance, risk, capital planning and asset management.
You will also play a key role in identifying new opportunities, strengthening cross-service collaboration, mentoring future leaders and contributing to the continued success of the national Building Consultancy team.
What You'll Be Doing
Business Growth & Client Leadership
Develop and execute market and sales strategies for your regionBuild and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholdersIdentify new market opportunities and service offeringsDrive revenue growth and client retention initiativesCollaborate across service lines to deliver integrated client solutionsLead proposal development and major client pursuits
Technical Consultancy
Deliver technical building and asset advisory servicesUndertake building condition audits and technical due diligence assessmentsProvide strategic asset management and lifecycle planning advicePrepare capital expenditure forecasts and maintenance plansDeliver high-quality technical reports and recommendations
Project Leadership
Scope and manage refurbishment, remediation, maintenance and upgrade projectsOversee project governance, quality and risk managementEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budgetProvide strategic direction to project teams and stakeholders
Team Leadership
Support the growth and development of Building Consultancy capabilityCoach and mentor employees and emerging leadersFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvementBuild a high-performing and engaged team environment

What We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with established industry leaders who bring a combination of technical credibility, commercial thinking and people leadership.
Essential Experience
15+ years' experience within the property, construction, engineering or building consultancy sectorDemonstrated success in a senior leadership roleStrong experience in business development, client management and revenue growthProven ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and teamsStrong understanding of commercial, contractual and risk management principlesEstablished industry networks and market credibility
Qualifications
You will hold a degree in one of the following disciplines (or similar):
Building SurveyingEngineeringQuantity SurveyingConstruction ManagementBuilding Services EngineeringProperty or Construction-related fieldsProfessional membership or accreditation such as RICS, AIQS, AIPM, CIBSE, Engineers Australia, CIOB or similar will be highly regarded.
