Carpenter / Skilled Tradesperson – Casual, with Full-Time Potential

Casual | 2–4+ days per week | Opportunity to grow into a permanent role

We’re a busy, family-run carpentry and handyman business based in Tingalpa and are looking for a qualified carpenter or highly experienced tradesperson to join our growing team.

We have a strong pipeline of residential work and are looking for someone who can work alongside Tim initially, but importantly, has the skills and confidence to progress to working independently on jobs and smaller projects.

Our work is varied and includes:

-Bathroom and home renovations

-Decking, fencing and outdoor projects

-General carpentry

-Property maintenance and repairs

-Renovation and improvement projects

Who we're looking for

Ideally, you’ll be a qualified carpenter with solid residential experience. However, we'd also be interested in hearing from a highly capable carpenter's labourer or trade assistant with strong practical skills and experience.

You’ll need to be reliable, take pride in your work and be comfortable working both alongside Tim and independently.

Ideally you will have:

-Certificate III in Carpentry (preferred)

-Residential carpentry/renovation experience

-White Card

-Current driver's licence and reliable transport

-Your own basic tools

-Good communication and problem-solving skills

-The ability to work independently and manage tasks on site

*Experience in bathroom renovations, waterproofing, tiling, concreting or other complementary trades would be a big advantage.

The role

We're flexible for the right person. We can initially offer approximately 2–4 days per week, with consistent work available and the opportunity for this to increase.

We're not looking for someone for just a few weeks. We're growing the business and would love to find someone who wants to become a long-term part of the team, with the potential to move into a permanent/full-time role as the business continues to expand.

Pay: Competitive casual hourly rate + super, based on qualifications, experience and ability to work independently.
