About the role
Mutitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation (MCAC) is the community-controlled organisation representing the Anangu people of Mutitjulu. MCAC delivers programs and services that support community wellbeing, cultural strength, employment, and economic development.
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (UKTNP) is jointly managed by Anangu Traditional Owners and Parks Australia. The Park is internationally recognised for its natural and cultural significance and operates under a framework prioritising Caring for Country, cultural protection, environmental conservation, and sustainable tourism.
Anangu Employment Services Ltd (AES) is a community-based employment services provider supporting Anangu jobseekers and workers through employment placement, onboarding, training coordination, and workforce compliance.
The Mala Ranger Program is delivered in partnership between MCAC, UKTNP and AES to support Anangu employment and engagement in Caring for Culture and Country.
The Mala Ranger Coordinator for Kungas is responsible for the coordination for Kungas (Female Anangu), supervision and administration of the Mala Ranger Program alongside the Mala Ranger Coordinator for Wati (Male Anangu).
The Coordinators directly oversee:
The Coordinators ensure the program aligns with MCAC community priorities and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park operational requirements, while maintaining compliance with employment legislation, Award conditions, WHS requirements and funding obligations.
The Mala Ranger Coordinator for Kungas will report directly to the General Manager of Mutitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation (MCAC). The Coordinator is accountable to the General Manager for program delivery, workforce management, compliance, reporting obligations, financial oversight, and alignment of the Mala Ranger Program with MCAC strategic priorities and partnership agreements with Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and Anangu Employment Services Ltd.
