Assistant Director

For over 50 years, Brompton Children’s Centre & Preschool Inc. has been a trusted part of the inner north‑west community - a place where children explore, learn and grow in beautiful natural play spaces supported by a warm, multicultural team.

We are seeking an Assistant Director to join our leadership team and support the Director in the smooth, high‑quality operation of our centre. This role strengthens our daily operations, supports educators, and contributes to positive relationships with families and the community.

Key responsibilities: 

·         Support the Director with daily operations and administration

·         Assist educators with programming, documentation and reflective practice

·         Build strong relationships with families and support enrolment processes

·         Uphold NQS, National Law & Regulations and centre policies

·         Support WHS checks, incident documentation and risk management

·         Contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan

·         Promote a positive, inclusive and multicultural team culture

Skills and experience

·         Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA‑approved)

·         Experience in early childhood leadership or senior educator roles

·         Strong understanding of NQS, National Law & Regulations

·         Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills

·         Commitment to child safety, inclusion and community‑focused practice

Salary: 7% above award plus any applicable grants etc.  (United Workers Union – Brompton Children’s Centre Inc Collective Agreement 2024)

Part-time, to be determined - minimum 0.5 FTE / 19 HOURS PER WEEK
