Garment Production Coordinator (Womenswear Fashion)

We are a well-established and fast-growing womenswear fashion wholesale company based in Surry Hills, supplying stylish apparel to retailers across Australia.

We are currently seeking an experienced Garment Production Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of women's apparel production, garment construction, and supplier communication with China factories.

You will play a key role in managing the production critical path from sample development through to bulk production and delivery, ensuring products are delivered on time, on budget, and to high quality standards.

You will work closely with the Brand Manager, Designer and Sales Team, supporting all aspects of the production process in a fast-paced fashion environment.

Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential for communicating with overseas factories and translating technical production documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the production critical path from sampling through to bulk production and delivery
• Work closely with the Brand Designer and Sales Manager to support product development
• Attend weekly fit meetings and coordinate production adjustments
• Liaise daily with China factories to manage production timelines, quality and delivery schedules
• Prepare and translate sample packs, tech packs and trim packs for overseas suppliers
• Place production orders and manage customer product development
• Monitor bulk production progress and chase weekly delivery schedules
• Conduct garment quality control checks to ensure measurements, fit and construction meet specifications
• Process repeat orders for stores and maintain production records
• Set up SKU and order information in Indigo8 ERP system
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to ensure smooth deliveries
• Assist with costing, production tracking and reporting using Excel

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1+ years experience in a Fashion Production Coordinator / Garment Production role within an Australian womenswear fashion company

• Fluent Mandarin (spoken, reading and writing) — required for technical communication with Chinese suppliers and translation of production documentation

• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, measurements and apparel quality control

• Experience working with China garment factories and managing production timelines

• Knowledge of fashion production costing and manufacturing processes

• Intermediate Excel skills including formulas and production tracking

• Experience coordinating freight, logistics and delivery schedules

• Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced fashion environment

• Qualification in Fashion Design, Textiles, Fashion Production, or related field is preferred
