Position Summary/Objectives Of Incumbent

The purpose of this position is to provide timely project management support ensuring accurate delivery of projects as assigned.

Major Activities To Be Performed

Undertake site inspections and provide input to the pre-sales and product order fulfilment processes.Prepare & maintain project plans including work schedules and relevant milestonesPlan, coordinate and implement project deliverablesLiaise with external project personnel (consultants, contractors, project managers) ensuring a high level of communication Represent Vertiv at all required project meetingsManage relationships with site personnel (builders, contractors, project managers etc)Coordinate and monitor project procurement of equipment from factories and suppliers with Vertiv Supply Chain personnel.Coordinate & supervise Vertiv site activities such as delivery, installation, commissioning and testingEnsure customer care objectives and project KPI’s are metManage site issues and work variationsComplete project reporting and documentation requirementsConfirm all actions in writing to ensure complete understanding of Vertiv works schedule, scope and progress against agreed timelines.Ensure the project is completed on time and within budget with continual margin management and controlRaise all payment/progress claims (reconciliation, accompanying documentation)Revenue phasing & recognitionConduct post-project evaluation and recommend process improvementsManagement of projects of varying complexities

Education/Qualification

Engineering qualification - electrical/electronics/mechanical certificate or diploma levelCompletion of trade – electrical or mechanical.PMP Certification/Diploma

Specialist Knowledge

Strong computer skills – MS Office; MS ProjectsChillers/CRAC Units/AHU’s/UPS/Static Transfer Switches/Batteries /BuswayControl and monitoring systems

Practical Experience

Minimum 5-7 years prior project management or project engineering experience within the electrical or mechanical industry managing large projects in excess of $25MStrength in HVAC in construction of advantageAbility to multitask running multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience working on construction sites
