Carpenter / Timber Window Installer

Location: Melbourne (Moorabbin based)

Melbourne Window Services is a specialist timber window and door company with over 25 years of experience restoring, manufacturing and installing high-quality timber windows and doors throughout Melbourne.

We're looking for an experienced Carpenter / Window Installer who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working on everything from beautiful period homes to custom new installations.

You'll work alongside a small but mighty, experienced team completing:

• Installation of custom-made timber windows and doors

• Restoration and repair of existing timber windows and doors

• Timber repairs including sash windows, frames and components

• Removal and replacement of windows and doors

• Installation of hardware and finishing details

• Measuring and fitting custom-made products

• Working with glass replacements and upgrades (experience an advantage but not essential)

• Delivering high-quality workmanship with exceptional attention to detail

• This is a hands-on role that involves lifting and installing windows and doors, working on ladders and scaffolding, and performing manual tasks throughout the day. Applicants should be able to safely meet the physical requirements of the role.

• Qualified Carpenter (preferred)

• Experience installing windows and doors

• Strong knowledge of timber construction and joinery

• High attention to detail

• Pride in producing quality workmanship

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and within a small team

• Great communication and customer service skills

• Comfortable performing sometimes physically demanding work

• Current White Card

• Current Driver's License

• Own tools (preferred)

• Experience with period homes

• Timber window restoration

• Sash window experience

• Glazing experience

• Experience manufacturing timber windows or doors

• Above award wages (based on experience)
