About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and organised Medical Receptionist to join our front-of-house team.
APC is a busy clinic supporting urologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, endocrinologists, nurses, and allied health staff. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment while keeping daily clinic operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming patients on arrival and handling phone enquiries warmly and efficiently.
Managing appointment schedules, processing patient payments, and submitting Medicare claims.
Preparing patient quotes and maintaining accurate electronic records and scanning.
Assisting our doctors and clinical team with day-to-day administrative support.
Communicating effectively with referring GPs and specialist rooms.
Assisting with general admin tasks as directed by the clinic management team.
Maintaining strict privacy and confidentiality standards for all patient records.
Desirable Criteria
Experience using Genie medical software.
Working knowledge of Medicare billing.
A genuine interest in supporting patients through their healthcare journeys.

Medical Admin Experience: Previous experience working in a specialist clinic or allied health practice.
Organisational Skills: The ability to stay calm and structured when front-desk demands build up.
Tech Capabilities: Comfortable using medical software and computer systems with strong attention to detail.
Patient-Centred Communication: A warm, empathetic, and professional phone and face-to-face manner.
Work Ethic & Confidentiality: Reliable, punctual, and committed to patient privacy.
Team Attitude: Willing to help out where needed and work well alongside colleagues and clinical staff.
