SMP Engineer - BoPM

We are seeking an experienced SMP Engineer – BoPM to coordinate the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of Balance of Plant Mechanical systems for a major infrastructure project.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate BoPM/SMP mechanical installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.Review P&IDs, mechanical drawings, piping isometrics, specifications and vendor documentation.Coordinate installation of piping, pumps, valves, tanks, cooling water, drainage, compressed air and associated mechanical systems.Prepare and manage work packages, ITPs, RFIs, installation procedures and construction documentation.Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, Vendors, Subcontractors and Commissioning teams to resolve technical and site issues.
Key Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.5–8 years’ experience in Mechanical, SMP, Site or Project Engineering within major infrastructure, energy, hydro, mining or industrial projects.Strong knowledge of piping systems, pumps, valves, tanks, structural supports and rotating equipment.Strong ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, piping isometrics and technical specifications.Hands-on experience with mechanical installation, testing, commissioning, material coordination and subcontractor management.Current Driver’s Licence; experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project is advantageous.
