Qualifications & Experience:

• Commercial cookery certification
• Food safety supervisor certification
• At least one (1) year in a similar role

Key Responsibilities As a Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food service while maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, presentation, and kitchen operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and setting up the kitchen with the necessary equipment, utensils, and ingredients prior to each service period.
• Overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals to ensure all dishes meet established quality and presentation standards.
• Adapting menu items and meal preparation to accommodate specific dietary requirements, allergies, and customer preferences.
• Managing kitchen operations during service to ensure efficiency, consistency, and a high standard of food quality.
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and plan menus, taking into consideration budget requirements, food costs, and the availability of seasonal produce.
• Conducting regular stocktakes and managing the timely ordering of food, beverages, and kitchen supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Supervising, mentoring, and coordinating junior kitchen staff to support a productive and professional working environment.
• Ensuring full compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
