Supervisor Paint and Blast

Lead painting, blasting & protective coating works on major industrial projects, driving safety, quality & delivery excellence

The opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Paint & Blast Supervisor to join our Industrial & Energy team, leading blasting, painting and protective coating activities across major industrial projects on a 2:2 roster starting November 2026.

Working closely with project teams, QA/QC and our client, Chevron, you'll play a key role in ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll coordinate crews, manage productivity and champion a strong safety culture.

What you'll do

• Lead and supervise blasting, painting and coating crews onsite
• Ensure all surface preparation and coating activities meet project specifications and quality requirements
• Coordinate inspections, hold points and QA/QC activities with client representatives
• Monitor environmental conditions and coating application requirements
• Plan labour, equipment and materials to maintain project schedules
• Manage subcontractors and direct hire personnel to achieve performance targets
• Complete reporting, progress updates and project documentation
• Drive a Zero Harm culture and maintain compliance with site procedures

What we're looking for

• Trade qualification in Industrial Painting & Blasting or similar
• NACE certification required
• Strong supervisory experience within mining, oil & gas, energy or heavy industrial environments
• Proven experience managing painting, blasting and protective coating activities
• Sound knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation and inspection requirements
• Ability to interpret project specifications and manage quality outcomes
• Strong planning, leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card
• Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets desirable
