Trades Assistant

Townsville Aluminium Fabrications (TAF) is a locally owned aluminium fabrication and installation business specialising in balustrades, screens, awnings, and gates for residential and commercial projects across North Queensland.

We're looking for an experienced, reliable Trades Assistant to join our team, working across our workshop and installation sites. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid work ethic and the maturity to work safely and independently, who takes pride in getting the job done right.

About the role:

• Assisting with installation of balustrades, screens, awnings, and gates on-site

• Workshop duties as required

• Travel to regional and out-of-town job sites, including overnight stays when required — accommodation and a company vehicle provided by TAF

• Working as part of a small, close-knit team

What you'll need:

• MUST hold a current MANUAL Driver's Licence

• MUST hold a Construction White Card

• MUST be able to read basic drawings/construction plans

• Scissor & Boom Lift Competencies (Yellow Card) preferred

• WP (Boom Over 11m) HRWL preferred

• MR Truck Licence highly regarded

• Previous experience installing on construction sites highly regarded

• Willingness to work overtime and travel when required
