Senior Property Valuer

About the Role

This is a founding hire into a growing valuations practice. You'll lead our property valuations offering, signing off on reports from day one, while helping shape our commercial proposition as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Property Valuations: Prepare and sign off on property valuation reports across residential, commercial and industrial assets, ensuring methodology quality and defensible conclusions.
• Deliver valuations for CGT compliance, SMSF requirements, lending and legal purposes, prepared to API and IVS standards.
• Build and optimise repeatable valuation frameworks and quality review processes that meet our turnaround targets.
• Engage directly with clients and their advisors, presenting findings clearly and supporting business development.
• Support and review outputs from Valuations agent and potentially junior staff as the practice grows.

What We're Looking For

This role requires someone who can sign off on property valuations from day one. A current API certification (or equivalent state-based registration) is essential.

You'll need:

• Certified Practising Valuer status with the Australian Property Institute (API), or equivalent state-based registration, with the ability to sign off on valuations independently.
• 3+ years post-certification experience in property valuation, ideally across residential, commercial and industrial assets.
• Strong command of valuation methodologies under API and IVS standards, with the ability to defend conclusions under scrutiny.
• Experience with ATO, SMSF, lender or legal valuation requirements highly regarded.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter mindset, comfortable working with autonomy.
