About the Role

We are currently seeking a Full Time Retail Security Guard to join our team at a major retail centre in Upper Mount Gravatt. This role is ideal for a security professional with strong retail security experience who is specifically seeking a permanent position maintaining consistent hours.

Strong Control Room experience is highly desirable, as the progression path for this role will involve future monitoring CCTV, incident coordination, and supporting site operations from the control room when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and adaptable officer who thrives in a dynamic retail environments and takes ownership of safety, risk management, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a strong and professional security presence in a busy retail environmentProvide high-level customer service to retailers, staff, and members of the publicConduct foot patrols, access control, and site monitoringOperate and monitor Control Room systems including CCTV and alarm systemsRespond effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergency situationsIdentify, assess, and manage risk appropriatelyComplete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logsLiaise with centre management, tenants, and emergency services when required

Skills & Experience

Demonstrated experience in retail security environmentsStrong Control Room experience (highly regarded)Current QLD Security Licence with Crowd Control & Monitoring componentsCurrent First Aid CertificateExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presentation and customer-focused approachAbility to work rotating rosters, including nights and weekendsAbility to work independently and adapt quickly in a relief capacity
