Your New Role
We're looking for a Manager, Company Secretariat, to play a key leadership role in supporting the Board, its committees and the broader business ensuring governance is proactive, high-quality and enables confident decision-making.This is a highly visible role where you'll partner closely with the Company Secretary, Board Directors and senior executives to deliver best-in-class governance across a complex, regulated environment.
What you'll be doing:
Provide Board and Committee governance, including managing meeting cycles end-to- end, governance reporting and preparing board/committee papersPrepare high-quality Board minutes and governance outputs to support effective decision-making and meet regulatory and strategic obligationsStrengthen and continuously improve governance frameworks, policies, charters and delegations and ensure governance operates effectively across the groupMonitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into governance practicesLead director onboarding, development and succession programs and Board effectiveness initiativesProvide trusted advice to Directors, Committees and senior leaders on governance mattersAssist with developing the Secretariat team members, driving high standards, capability and performanceDrive continuous improvement and AI-enabled ways of working to enhance efficiency and quality
How do you exceed our expectations?
You're a governance professional who combines technical expertise with strong judgement and stakeholder influence.
You'll bring:
5+ years of experience in a company secretariat or governance roleStrong understanding of superannuation governance, trustee obligations and the APRA frameworkProven ability to operate confidently with Boards, Executives and senior stakeholdersExcellent drafting skills, particularly for Board papers, minutes and governance documentationStrong organisational capability, managing multiple priorities and deadlinesA collaborative, proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvementConfidence leveraging digital and AI tools to enhance governance effectivenessA background in Law (highly desirable)
