About the role

This role is located at our Dandenong South site.

Qualifications & experience

• Must have material handler and loader operator experience.

• Ability to take instruction and coordinate work activities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Knowledge of recycling industry preferred.

• Must be able to work autonomously.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Sorting and Recycling at Dandenong South Recycling Centre. 

• Conduct daily machine pre-start checks / report of faults and damages on all plant.

• Liaise with site manager to review daily operational requirements. 

• Operate heavy plant and machinery in a waste collection / disposal environment – including but not limited to material handler, Sennebogen, Liebherr, front end loaders and excavator.

• Loading Walking Floors and various recycling trucks

• Focus on waste recycling and landfill diversion practices.

• Follow direction, establish work priorities, and meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Complete appropriate documentation in line with position including time sheets.

• Collaborate with other internal staff to create efficient and safe processes.
