Junction is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Coordinator - Young Parents Program to lead an innovative program designed to support young mothers and their children to thrive.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a program that places lived experience, connection, and empowerment at its core. Working alongside dedicated peer workers and young parents, you will play a key role in creating a safe and supportive environment where participants can build confidence, strengthen parenting skills, and access pathways to education, employment, and community participation.

As the Coordinator, you will have the chance to:

• Lead the development and delivery of a new and impactful program
• Make a genuine difference in the lives of young parents and their children
• Work collaboratively with community partners to strengthen support pathways
• Foster meaningful engagement through group work, community development, and participant-led approaches
• Mentor and support peer workers, championing the value of lived experience

We're looking for someone with experience in group facilitation, program development, and community engagement, who understands the challenges and strengths of young parents, particularly those with experience in or at risk of entering the care and protection system.

This role can be full-time or part-time (0.8) subject to applicant requirements.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a highly motivated person who: 

• Relevant qualification at Certificate IV level or above in Community Services or a related discipline, and/or a minimum of two years' demonstrated relevant experience – essential. 
• Has experience in co-design, facilitating, leading, and developing groups 
• Possesses knowledge of community development principles and frameworks
• Has both knowledge and an understanding of supporting peer mentors in a lived experience program  
• Has both knowledge and an understanding of the issues and risk factors for young parents who have been in the care and protection system (or at risk of)

You Will Need To:  

• Complete our online application process
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current Working with Children Check
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current Child Safe Environments Certificate
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current Senior First Aid Certificate  
• Hold a current, unencumbered Australian driver’s license and be willing to drive
• Undergo pre-employment testing as part of the recruitment process
