About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Manager to join So Social PTY LTD in Hurstville, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in one of Australia's fastest growing social media agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across all major platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement

• Create, curate and manage high-quality content including graphics, videos, copy and multimedia assets tailored to each platform

• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and build positive community relationships

• Analyse social media performance metrics and reporting, using data insights to optimise campaigns and inform strategy

• Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting and performance tracking

• Stay current with social media trends, algorithm changes and best practices to keep our brand competitive

• Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, creative and product to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment

• Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify opportunities and emerging trends

• Schedule posts and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent and timely content delivery

• Engage in community management, fostering positive relationships with followers and brand advocates

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Social Media Manager or in a similar digital marketing role, preferably for 2+ years

• Strong knowledge of major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Twitter/X

• Demonstrable experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging, on-brand content

• Creative thinking and the ability to generate fresh ideas and innovative campaign concepts

• Strong understanding of social media advertising and paid promotion strategies

• Proficiency with graphic design tools or the ability to brief designers effectively

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

• Understanding of digital marketing principles and how social media fits into broader marketing strategies

• Excellent organisational and project management abilities

• A passion for social media and digital trends with genuine enthusiasm for the role
