About the role
Daisy Hill Vet is a family-owned small animal practice on the south side of Brisbane, and we’re looking for a qualified veterinary nurse to join our team.
We’re looking for someone with a Cert IV in Vet Nursing, Vet Tech qualification or equivalent, and ideally around two or more years’ experience in small animal practice. If you’ve built a good foundation and are ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
Why Daisy Hill Vet?
We’ve worked hard to create a clinic where people enjoy coming to work. We have an experienced, down-to-earth team who genuinely enjoy working together, a loyal client base who trust us to provide a high standard of care, and a culture where everyone is happy to help each other out.
We’re a progressive general practice with a varied caseload, including orthopaedics, advanced dentistry, behaviour medicine, complex anaesthesia and laparoscopic surgery. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced vets and nurses who enjoy sharing their knowledge, helping you build your skills and confidence in these areas over time.
Our nurses play an active role in patient care, and we encourage everyone to continue learning and developing the areas of nursing they enjoy most.
About the Role
No two days are quite the same, which is exactly how we like it.
As one of our nurses you’ll be involved in:
Surgical nursing and anaesthesia monitoring
Hospital patient care and case management
Nurse consultations and client education
Laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
Supporting our vets with a wide variety of medical and surgical cases
About You
You’ll be someone who:
Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Vet Tech qualification or equivalent
Has ideally around two years’ experience in small animal practice
Enjoys working as part of a team
Cares about providing excellent patient care and great client service
Is organised, reliable and enjoys keeping busy
Wants to continue learning and developing their skills
We’re much more interested in finding the right person than someone who ticks every single box. If this role sounds like a good fit, we’d encourage you to apply.
What We Offer
• Full-time position with a stable, predictable roster
An experienced and supportive team who enjoy working together
A modern, well-equipped clinic with high clinical standards
A varied caseload and genuine opportunities to develop your nursing skills
Ongoing continuing education
Generous staff discounts for your own pets
Homemade ice cream after Friday surgeries (yes, we really do have an ice cream machine!)
Interested?
Changing jobs is a big decision, and we know applying for a new role can feel a little daunting. If you’re looking for a clinic where you’ll be supported, challenged and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day, we’d love to hear from you.
Please apply via SEEK with your resume and a short cover letter. If you’d prefer to have a confidential chat first, you’re welcome to text Dr Julian on 0416 217 *** and he’ll be happy to give you a call.
