About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our team in Castle Hill.  In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy automotive workshop, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the workflow and allocation of work to technicians in the workshop

• Liaise with customers to understand their service requirements and provide realistic timelines for completion

• Monitor workshop productivity and make adjustments to optimise efficiency

• Ensure all workshop activities comply with relevant safety and quality standards

• Provide coaching and support to workshop technicians to develop their skills

• Contribute to the development and implementation of workshop processes and policies

• Generate reports on workshop performance and make recommendations for improvement

What we're looking for

• Significant experience in a workshop controller or similar role within the automotive industry

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues

• Proficient in using automotive repair and diagnostic software

• Thorough understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures

• Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians

• Relevant qualifications in automotive technology or a related field
