One Stop Medical is a busy, modern general practice in Mackay seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our team. This role is ideal for nurses with experience in general practice, primary health care, or community nursing, or hospital nurses looking to transition into GP practice.

Practice Nurse Responsibilities

Clinical Nursing Duties

• Childhood, flu and travel immunisations

• Wound care and assistance with minor procedures

• ECG, Holter monitoring, Spirometry and Audiometry

• Ear syringing, iron infusions and venesection

• Patient triage and clinical assessments

• Infection control and equipment sterilisation

Chronic Disease & Preventative Health

• Chronic Disease Management (CDM) support

• Care Plans, Health Assessments and patient education

• Managing recalls and results using HotDocs

Essential Criteria

• Current AHPRA Registered Nurse (RN) registration

• Current CPR, First Aid & Immunisation Certificate

• Experience or interest in general practice nursing

• Strong communication, organisation and time‑management skills

• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team

• Knowledge of Best Practice software (or similar GP systems) preferred but not mandatory

• Australian permanent residency or citizenship

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Previous experience as a Practice Nurse or Primary Care Nurse

• Familiarity with GP accreditation standards
