In operation since 1987, every Jardan piece is designed, crafted and assembled at our Production site in Melbourne, retaining skills whilst focusing on a premium made to order process bound by sustainability and quality.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking full time Cabinet Makers to join our Production Team in Scoresby. The hours of work for this role are Monday to Thursday 6.30am to 3.00pm and Friday 6.30am to 12.30pm. This role has the potential to work additional overtime hours in the afternoon.
Reporting To The Leading Hand, The Key Responsibilities Include
Carry out construction, assembly, alteration of custom-built furniture Assembly of tables, chairs, buffets, couch frames, stools and any other timber furniture pieces Read, produce and interpret job sheets and drawings Work with solid timbers and veneers Use various cabinet making hand tools Operate machinery in machine workshop when required e.g. static machines, band saws, docking saws, thicknessers, routers, bench grinders, etc Use power tools, e.g. electric/battery drills, power saws, routers, sanders, planners, laser levelling devices, pneumatic (air) tools, e.g. nail guns Perform polishing and oiling when required Make measurements and calculations Set up, operate and maintain joining machines Produce angled and curved furniture using solid timber Set up, operate and maintain sawing machines Construct jigs and fixtures Prepare cutting list from plans and job specifications
