As we continue to expand, we’re looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to lead a high-performing operation and play a key role in driving service, safety, profitability, and team success.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of National Operations, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of site operations, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded while maintaining compliance, safety, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

You’ll lead a diverse team across transport, customer service, and warehouse operations while working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop transport, warehouse, and customer service teams
• Drive operational efficiency across fleet, linehaul, and freight movements
• Manage site performance against service and financial targets
• Ensure DIFOT and operational KPIs are achieved
• Oversee fleet utilisation, maintenance scheduling, and resource planning
• Foster a strong safety-first culture with full WHS and Chain of Responsibility compliance
• Manage customer relationships and resolve escalations effectively
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop operational team members
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with dangerous goods, HACCP, and industry regulations

About You

You’re a proactive and hands-on operational leader with a strong background in transport and logistics. You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy leading teams, and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

To Succeed in This Role You Will Have:

✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics operations

✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and managing teams

✅ Strong experience in transport operations, PUD and linehaul management

✅ Sound understanding of WHS and Chain of Responsibility legislation

✅ Experience managing operational KPIs, productivity, and performance outcomes

✅ Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

✅ Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

✅ Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office

• Dangerous Goods experience
• Forklift Licence
• Fatigue Management qualifications
• CoR and transport compliance training
• Warehousing and distribution leadership experience
